Clason Point (pronounced CLAW-son) is one of the three peninsulas that extend into the East River. The area around the house may also be referred to as Harding Park. Named after Harding Park which is a small neighborhood park just two blocks from the house. Just as the native Siwanoys called the area, Snakapins, land between two waters; Clason Point is sandwiched in between Hunts Point and Throgg’s Neck, separated by the Bronx River and Pugsley Creek/Westchester Creek.

In reality, Clason Point is a land in between three waters because the East River (which flows into the Long Island sound) forms the southern boundary of the neighborhood. Across the East River is Queens and Long Island.

Clason Point is mostly a residential neighborhood. It is quiet for the most part and has a diverse demographics but without argument, a Latino majority.
